6. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions
A bit of under-rated game, Shattered Dimensions allows players to traverse a linear story with four different Spider-Men. You can play as the Classic Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099, Ultimate Spider-Man and Spider-Man Noir. Each different version of the wall crawler has a unique combat style and gameplay features, keeping the game fresh throughout its story - for example, Spider-Man Noir's levels feature stealth segments.
With four Spider-Men you can expect a range of bosses, many not usually seen in other games, such as Kraven and The Hobgoblin. Madame Webb also features in the game, bringing all the different Spider-Men together. While many may miss the open world that other games offer, by making this a linear adventure the developers are able to craft an extremely interesting story revolving around Mysterio gaining actual magical power.
If you needed another reason to play this game, it was written by Dan Slott, providing him the inspiration for 2014's Spider-Verse comic story. So really, this is the original Spider-Verse.
