As with the Avengers and Doctor Strange, King T'Challa of Wakanda hasn't been referenced explicitly. He has, however - like those individuals too - had his own locale referenced in interviews.

Among those other eye-catching destinations, web-heads will be able to spot a Wakandan Embassy while slinging through New York. Again, this doesn't confirm that T'Challa will have a part to play at some point, but it does illustrate Insomniac are intent on building a world, and making sure their version of New York feels like its Marvel's own.

That said, the Black Panther has only gotten more and more popular since the game's original announcement. Could a cameo at least be in store?
