Splinter Cell Blacklist: 10 Reasons It's The Best Of The Series

8. Gadgets

Splinter Cell Blacklist b Like every Splinter Cell game, Sam Fisher comes equipped with a bunch of cool gadgets, and Blacklist just might see him kitted out with the coolest array yet. The stand-outs include the Tri-Rotor (a flying scout which can be used to recon areas ahead and also incapacitate sentries), Sleeping Gas grenades, Sticky Noisemakers, and the Proximity Shocker (which sticks to doors and will incapacitate anyone who comes in contact with it). After Conviction really stripped down the number of gadgets and proved disappointingly restrictive, it's refreshing to see Blacklist restoring Fisher's arsenal of ridiculous and massively entertaining gadgets. Great fun though it can be blasting enemies to bits with a shotgun blast to the face, to me it's infinitely more satisfying pulling off a perfectly-timed non-lethal assault on the enemy and then slipping through the cracks undetected. After all, isn't that what these games are really all about?
