Star Wars 10 Most Powerful Uses Of The Force
5. Crucitorn (Star Wars: The Clone Wars)
Pain threshold is an interesting concept, since it's so hard to measure on a case by case basis. Everyone has a different point where pain becomes unbearable, what separates a simple "ouch" from rolling around in abject agony. As such, it sure would suck if a Jedi suddenly gained the ability to play with the pain thresholds of others.
This is where Eeth Koth comes into the picture. An otherwise forgettable member of the Jedi Council, Eeth Koth was made vastly more interesting in the Clone Wars animated series when, in episode 9 of season 2 titled "Grievous Intrigue", it's revealed that Koth knows a unique Jedi ability known as Crucitorn. This gives a Jedi the ability to control the pain thresholds of themselves or others through intense concentration. It can make a papercut feel like being sliced with a rusty battleaxe, or it can make intense mind melting torture feel like a walk in the park.
For such an impressive ability, it's rarely utilized in the canon, and that is a shame because it's definitely something a lot of Jedi could really have used in their adventures. Maybe next time you'll share your notes with the rest of the class, Koth.
