Star Wars Battlefront: 10 Things That Need To Happen
3. A Proper Campaign
It's not all sunshine and happiness, though. On top of the aforementioned issue of EA backing the thing, the new Battlefront has two big strikes against its single-player content: 1) It's a licensed title, and 2) it's a modern shooter. Those are not useful traits to roll when you're targeting an audience that grew up on and indeed still fondly remembers worthwhile, involved Battlefront campaigns. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVezvBSfB4c It's no grand secret that Call of Duty, Battlefield, Gears of War, Killzone and the like have been trimming their campaigns down in favor of additional multiplayer content. At this point, it would almost be foreign for DICE to deliver a solid line of Battlefront missions, let alone the four-fold, faction-based splendor that was Battlefront 2. With that said, it would be one black sheep that every Star Wars fan would be glad to add to their herd. On a brighter note, DICE has already proven themselves determined enough to explore the original Star Wars sets and props, all in an effort to understand the crux of Lucas' universe so they may better implement that authenticity in their game.
