Star Wars Battlefront: 10 Things That Need To Happen
4. Cooperative Play
It will be a glorious day when you're able to hop online and face off against a friend in a Battlefront siege, gunning for each other's throats and command posts in massive battles, carefully positioning and leading your forces against a human opponent. The opportunity to join forces with a friend, however, would also be welcomed. Local split-screen play, while an unmatched source of antics and stories, is extremely limited compared to online. Now, new games always have and should seize the opportunity to improve upon their predecessors, but with such a radical gap between releases, Battlefront 3 has a book of new tricks to add in whereas your usual sequel is packing a pamphlet. This is, after all, about a decade-old IP. It's been up in the attic for ages; it's sure to have some dust to shake off. Besides, whether it's one-versus-one or a four-man FFA, Battlefront Online has a ring to it that will get any fan drooling.
A freelance games writer, you say? Typically battling his current RPG addiction and ceaseless perfectionism? A fan of horror but too big a sissy to play for more than a couple of hours? Spends far too much time on JRPGs and gets way too angry with card games?
Well that doesn't sound anything like me.
