Star Wars Battlefront 2: Ranking All 17 Leaked Characters

The version of Emperor Palpatine in the original Battlefront was a goofy mess. For some reason, DICE decided to make the character ridiculously agile, giving him the ability to jump around maps like a mad man while tearing other players in two.

But while it was always great to see old man Palps flying through the air and twirling across the battlefield, the upcoming sequel is instead sticking to an attack style the villain is better known for: force lightning.

Taking up the bulk of both his basic attacks and more powerful abilities, in Battlefront 2 the Emperor will be able to take down multiple enemies at once with chain lightning, using it to either stun other players or outright kill them.

This, combined with his 'Dark Aura' ability which emanates a shield of energy around the character that immobilises and damages other players, will no doubt make him an excellent choice for close-quarters combat.
