Star Wars Battlefront 2: Ranking All 17 Leaked Characters

While Leia was more of a support character in the original game, DICE is attempting to buff the hero with new offensive capabilities that will hopefully make her a more formidable foe in the upcoming sequel.

Retaining her iconic blaster from the movies, Leia will be able to swap it during multiplayer matches for a more powerful fully-automatic blaster that can riddle enemies with a stream of laser fire.

Likewise a concussion grenade will come in handy for when players get overwhelmed, able to blind enemies to facilitate an easy assault.

But while Leia has received a boost to her attack power, her support abilities haven't entirely been removed, as a portable shield can be deployed by the hero to offer a small reprieve during the the heat of battle.

Being able to offer nearby friendly players a little bit of cover while still packing a pretty powerful punch, Battlefront 2's version of the character will hopefully make Leia a much more effective hero than she was in the first game.
