One of the 2015 game's most underwhelming aspects was its piecemeal Fighter Squadron mode, which felt hurriedly slapped together for release, but one of Battlefront 2's undeniable improvements is its replacement mode, Starfighter Assault.

Far from the disappointing restraint of Fighter Squadron's generic battles, Starfighter Assault gives every Star Wars fan an opportunity to realise their childhood dream, to dive headlong into epic space dogfights against an army of 12 enemy players, plus AI of course.

It's an easy mode to jump into and have fun with, and though not particularly complex, this is one area of the game where EA and DICE clearly listened to player complaints from the previous game and delivered accordingly.
