Star Wars Battlefront 2 Trailer: 12 Details, Secrets & Speculations You Need To Know
10. A Vignette-Style Campaign?
One of the most visually arresting portions of the teaser comes from just how fast it thunders through a number of different timelines and eras. The trailer throws this up in text on-screen as a way to hint at the variety that'll be present at least online, but for the offline portion, consider DICE's previous work, Battlefield 1.
In that game, the 'story campaign' was more a series of disconnected vignettes; literally a selection of different individual stories spanning the globe, all with specific characters, gameplay styles, weapons etc.
Transfer this to the Star Wars mythos and it makes perfect sense: Fans already know the most iconic and popular battles or scenes of Star Wars lore; the trench run, the Death Star infiltration, the Episode II arena fight, etc. If the campaign is literally a Galactic Conquest-style overworld map that lets us pick and choose the 'greatest hits' of Star Wars mythology, it'd be the best way to address such a huge amount of content across so many different outlets.
