Star Wars Battlefront 2 Trailer Leaks Showing Rey, Darth Maul And Kylo Ren
Get your twin lightsabers ready.
Ahead of its intended appearance at the Star Wars Celebration at the end of this week in Orlando, the first trailer for EA’s hotly-anticipated Star Wars: Battlefront II has leaked out to the web early and it looks as excellent as you'd hope.
The short teaser gives off a couple of pretty big hints as well as confirming that the next game will feature vehicles, droids and characters from not only the prequel trilogy but also The Force Awakens.
There's confirmation that the single-player campaign - in which you'll play as a female stormtrooper - will centre on the Empire in the immediate aftermath of the destruction of the Death Star over Endor. You will be tasked with a mission of vengeance, so presumably the ewoks are done for.
Additionally, it seems that space battles will play a key role in the gameplay.
As this is Battlefront, there'll also be a lot of interest in multiplayer, and the teaser confirms that the roster has been expanded to include another four Star Wars movies. We see appearances by Rey, Kylo Ren and Darth Maul and it appears to show locations from across the film series too, with Hoth and the Starkiller Base shown.
Star Wars Celebration will happen between April 13-16 in Orlando and should deliver lots more of this Star Wars goodness officially.
