Star Wars Battlefront DLC: 10 Specific Things Fans Demand

1. A Bevy Of New Weapons

One thing that stuck out to me as being particularly impressive about DICE's Battlefront was just how brilliant the blasters on selection were. All have their own unique traits and their models and sounds are ripped straight from the films, all further imbuing the title with its remarkable aura of nostalgic authenticity.

This doesn't really contribute to variety however, as Battlefront's meagre selection of blasters are dwarfed with ease by other FPS competitors on the market. This presents somewhat of a problem, as Battlefront has already compiled the widest selection of blasters seen in the Original Trilogy. In order to branch out, DICE would have to look to different eras to make sure players don't call it quits after trying out every weapon there is to use. Adapting Clone War weaponry would make sense in this instance, as we see Rex brandish his old rifles and pistols in the current animated Rebels TV show, set in between episodes III and IV.

Any expansion that DICE endeavours to push to market will inevitably feature new blasters and star cards for eager gamers to adopt and use. However, as the title's lack of content becomes more apparent, the urgency in which DLC is needed increases, as does the eagerness in which player's will wish to purchase it. This was undoubtedly the intended consequence of shipping Battlefront so sparsely, with EA's reputation for overzealous investment in add-on content preceding them in any and all expeditions in the gaming medium. With this all in mind, only time will tell if the stalwarts of the Star Wars community will pay for more.

Indeed, Battlefront's reputation for providing an authentic experience may soon validate EA's business practices, though only at the detriment to those still incensed by the rampant abuse of DLC in the medium.
