Star Wars Battlefront DLC: 10 Specific Things Fans Demand

9. Space Battles

If there's anything DICE's reboot is missing, it's space battles. Sure, we may have the much loved Fighter Squadron mode to dabble around with for a few rounds, but its current state of unbalance combined with the fact there are only four ships to use (six if we count the Millennium Falcon and the Slave I) means that the mode is fast losing its appeal.

Taking this premise and propelling it into space would be just the remedy it needs to cement it as a mainstay in every player's playlist, especially if inspiration was taken from not just the films (Return of the Jedi's final space battle is begging for a game adaptation), but the old games as well. Sabotaging an enemy's capital ship was always great fun, and taking that experience to the current-gen would enthral fans both old and new. Taking into account Battlefront's efforts to invoke nostalgia it's rather odd space battles didn't actually ship with the game.

The trench run from the Death Star, the Falcon outmanoeuvring TIE Fighters in an asteroid belt, the opening to A New Hope - all of these are constantly cited as being among the best scenes of the original trilogy - it only makes sense to emulate them.
