Star Wars Battlefront DLC: 10 Specific Things Fans Demand

7. A Proper Single-Player Story

Single-player experiences are important, but if you'd only been viewing FPS's for the past two years you'd probably think otherwise, as studios and their publishers aim to cut costs to maximise profits and make dedicated online-only experiences. Bluntly speaking this is an awful business model to adopt, and has already seen games like Titanfall and Evolve succumb to a barren online community as a consequence.

Ignoring the ethics of retrofitting a campaign to a title via DLC is difficult, and is indeed probably impossible to look past, but given signals from EA in the immediate aftermath of Battlefront's release, the possibility of such a thing occurring isn't too far fetched at all.

Speaking at one of EA's ATMCs, head honcho Peter Moore said that though Battlefront is "lacking a campaign mode in the eyes of players [...] there is more content coming," which seemingly suggests that DICE have been listening to critical reaction regarding said element.

What this bodes for a potential campaign DLC is unclear, but something that took inspiration from the newly released tie-in novel Twilight Company would be very welcome, and would no doubt have a part in further building the Expanded Universe in its current form.
