Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order - 10 Games It Totally Ripped Off

9. Ratchet & Clank

Ratchet & Clank might not seem like it would have a particularly significant influence on a AAA Star Wars game, but remember that the franchise is similarly a sci-fi action-platformer with an emphasis on planetary exploration.

But Fallen Order has uniquely borrowed something else from the platforming franchise: the symbiotic relationship between its titular hero and robotic companion.

Fallen Order's protagonist Cal is accompanied by BD-1, a cute, pint-sized droid companion who, for the majority of the game, sits on Cal's shoulder and helps him both open doors and disable enemies.

Furthermore, BD-1 receives upgrades periodically throughout the game to enhance its abilities.

This is also all true of Clank, and while Fallen Order (sadly) doesn't have any sequences which allow the player to control BD-1 - unlike Ratchet & Clank - the shared DNA between the games' robot mascots is undeniable.
