Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order - 10 Things The Rumoured TV Series Must Include
4. The Stinger Mantis And Space Combat
Second only to its epic lightsaber duels, Star Wars is perhaps best known for huge space combat sequences.
With one-man fighters and enormous capital ships alike trading fire and exploding in balls of durasteel and flames, scenes of good and evil squaring off in spectacular space combat are synonymous with the franchise.
In the Fallen Order game, Cal is introduced to the crew of the Stinger Mantis, and its enigmatic captain Greez Dritus.
The game essentially treats the Mantis as a home base, a hub in which Cal can rest, change his poncho, customise his lightsaber, and fill his terrarium with all manner of exotic flora.
Unlike many previous Star Wars titles, Fallen Order does not put the player in the cockpit nor the gunner's chair during intense dogfights, and any action sequences the Mantis was involved in were relegated to the cut-scenes.
In the rumoured TV show, we will presumably be spending a lot of time with the Mantis, so placing the craft in different scenarios - including intense combat sequences - is a must.
Who knows, if the show is successful, the Mantis could become a household name like the Millennium Falcon or Slave I.
