Star Wars: Squadrons - 10 Reasons To Be Excited

9. A Complete Product

A complete package is something that is very rare in the current gaming landscape. Single player stories like Jedi Fallen Order have patches and updates down the line, but they are polished and finished. Multiplayer games are a different breed entirely, with new maps, game modes and weapons being added post release. All you have to do is look at Star Wars: Battlefront II as an example of this.

Star Wars: Squadrons however looks to ditch the DLC expansions and instead plans to release the game as a finished product. Star Wars: Squadrons creative director Ian Grazier stated it is a "fully self contained experience" and will not feature DLC. This relates to the relatively low price point that the game currently sits at and suggests the game will be a streamlined product.

Following on from the approach of Jedi: Fallen Order, it seems Squadrons is lining itself up to be a smaller scale Star Wars adventure, without the burden of having to supply a constant stream of content for players post-launch.
