Starhawk May 8th Release Date Announced

In addition, the public beta for Starhawk was released today for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Today Sony announced that Starhawk would be coming to the PS3 on May 8th of this year in the United States. In addition, the public beta for Starhawk was released today for PlayStation Plus subscribers. The beta will be open to all members of the public on February 21. A European release date for Starhawk has not been announced at this time. For those who don't know, Starhawk is a multiplayer third person shooter that has real time strategy based game mechanics, where you are able to call down offensive and defensive structures from a orbiting ship. The game does feature an offline single player mode for those interested. In addition, one of the major reasons I am excited for this game is the fact it has local co-op up to four players. The month of May is getting crowded with Max Payne 3 being announced a week later and as of right now Tom Clancy€™s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is also scheduled to be released in May. Here is the official list of what the beta offers: Classic Arcade Flight-Mode: Private Beta players asked for it and we're happy to include the classic arcade flight from Warhawk. Host Migration: When the host leaves the game, the hosting duties transfer to another player and gameplay will continue, provided the option is checked. Language Support: European and Japanese languages are included. Korea, China, Latin America and Brazil will be in English...but these will include the appropriate languages for the full game. Skills: Players will be able to collect unique Skills to use in gameplay based on their performance. Playstation Network Friend Integration: Friends status, messages, and friend requests. Bug Fixes: Lots and lots of bugs have been addressed. Here is the beta preview video: http://youtu.be/By32oclJSGc
