Super Smash Bros. - 10 Characters Fans Demand Be Included

8. Banjo & Kazooie

It would be fair to say that the Banjo-Kazooie series has not had the best of times since its developers Rare jumped ship to Microsoft in the early 2000s. Following two classic platforming games on the N64, the last of which was released in 2000, the franchise has been limited to a couple of handheld entries and the Xbox 360€™s Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. While Rare€™s defection to Microsoft might lead you to think that these guys could not appear in Nintendo€™s flagship fighting game, head of Xbox Phil Spender recently suggested that he€™d have no problem with the duo appearing on a rival console. "I think it would be cool if Banjo was in the next SSB DLC,€ he said. "We've worked with Nintendo on Rare IP before, no issues." If the twosome do make an appearance, Nintendo could decide to base their moveset, at least partially, on the Duck Hunt Duo. On the other hand, they could design an entirely original character, having Banjo take care of the more physical attacks and allowing Kazooie to help with recovering from hits. In any case, with Nintendo dropping the Ice Climbers from the Smash Bros. repertoire the game desperately needs a new double-act to shake things up.
