Tekken 7: 7 Overpowered Characters That Must Be Fixed

3. Hwoarang

Mainly a problem for beginners, Hwoarang's pitter-patter of niggling kicks have been infuriating players since way back in the Tekken 3 days. Rather than being a character with a steep learning curve that eventually rewards the player with an extremely over-powered move-set, Hwoarang is relatively easy to pick up and play. Seeing as he has almost no punching game, you can effectively exclude the punch buttons on your gamepad just focus on kick combos. Fighting against him is literally like having some really guy constantly sticking his foot in your face. You keep trying to move your head one way, but his foot's quicker and is constantly on you, going up your nose, into your mouth, and generally pissing you off. Worst of all, even though the kicks don't look very hard, they do a deceptive amount of damage. Sure, once you raise your Tekken game Hwoarang is relatively beatable, but it'd do a massive service to newbies if his kicks did as little damage as they look like they should (i.e. not a lot).
