Telltale's Batman: 10 Comic Stories That Would Be Great Inspiration
2. The Black Mirror
The comic that heralded Scott Snyder's ascendance to the position of DC's main Batman scribe is arguably his best, teaming up with Jock and Francesco Francavilla to deliver a psychologically harrowing tale focussing on the anxieties of Dick Grayson's Batman as well as Jim Gordon's closet full of skeletons. It's without a doubt one of the best Batman tales to have been written recently, and while it may not feature Bruce under the cowl, there are plenty of elements within it that would compliment TellTale's style of storytelling. One of the most intriguing elements of the plot revolves around an underground black market auction that sells revolting artefacts, with the main object in question being the crowbar the Joker used to murder Jason Todd with. Dick averts the auction of course, but later finds himself dealing with Jim Gordon's estranged son, who may or may not also be a major psychopath. The Black Mirror is a thriller by nature. What it lacks in a big mystery it more than makes up for in horror and threat - two components that while already present in numerous TellTale games, would only benefit the upcoming series more.
