The Division: 11 Crucial Dark Zone Tips You Need To Know

3. Emotes Can Diffuse A Tense Situation

Even though comms may be your first port of call when it comes to quickly communicating with other players, it's worth considering that not everyone will speak the same language, some people simply don't listen to comms, and plenty of players don't use microphones. As such, an easy way to diffuse the tension when you come across other players is to start going wild with the emotes: perform some jumping jacks and there's a good chance that the other players may join in, likely signaling that they're friendly and not looking to go rogue. Sure, they could still open fire, but it's amazing what a little levity can do. And don't forget to salute them after your extraction is complete, too. Plus, when there's gangs going around the DZ threatening to kill people unless they do jumping jacks, emotes can literally be the difference between life and death.
