The Elder Scrolls: 10 Best Storylines That Should Be Turned Into Movies
9. Windhelm's Butcher - Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Windhelm might be the base of operations for Ulfric and his Stormcloak rebellion and, depending on the path players take in the Civil War, the capital of Skyrim, but it is also arguably the most desolate of any location in the land. Racism and segregation run rife in the city's docks and Grey Quarter, the citizens live life harder than anywhere else and, by the time players enter the city, there is a murderer prowling the streets.
When players first enter Windhelm, one of the first sights they are greeted with is the body of a mutilated woman with the locals remarking that it is the third such instance of a girl being killed during the night.
Nicknamed 'The Butcher' by the locals, players will navigate through every inch of the city, discovering a series of increasingly gruesome clues before deciding who they think the true killer is.
Blood on the Ice is one of Skyrim's most unique storylines, featuring almost no fighting and relying much more on making the most of the creepy atmosphere and suspicion surrounding Windhelm's colourful characters.
