The Elder Scrolls 6: 9 Fan Theories That Must Come True

4. No Base Building Features

Although base building wasn't the most well-received part of Fallout 4, it's clear that Bethesda are pretty enamoured with the mechanic. Essentially prototyped in Skyrim's Homestead DLC and implemented properly in the fourth game in their other franchise, the feature has grown even more to become the entire focus of Fallout 76.

However, Bethesda have been insistent that their next RPGs will return to the single-player, traditional style of their earlier releases. Consequently, it's speculated that the controversial feature won't actually make it into an Elder Scrolls release.

Admittedly, it would make more sense to go all-in on base-building with 76 considering the game's premise is about rebuilding the wasteland, keeping the feature a staple of that series, rather than undermining its importance by including it in every one of the studio's projects.
