The Elder Scrolls VI: Every Rumour & Confirmed Detail So Far
8. Set In Both High Rock & Hammerfell
Somewhere on this page you'll find the first trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI. If you're reading this then you've probably had a good look at that, trying to find any details you can. You're not alone. Lots of people have done the same, and some of those have come to the conclusion that The Elder Scrolls VI will be set in High Rock.
However, the photogrammetry we saw shows some desert landscape being scanned into the game, and High Rock doesn't have a desert. However, it's neighbouring kingdom of Hammerfell is almost entirely desert, leading others to believe we may be visiting the home of the Redguard.
This is seemingly backed up by the locations shown in the trailer. The village next to the crater is likely Azra's Crossing (the crater created by the mage Azra Nightwielder after he lost control of his shadow magic, and the town slowly built around it later) and the town on the coast seems to be Lainlyn according to the geography around it.
As Azra's Crossing is right on the border between High Rock and Hammerfell, it's likely that we'll be visiting both of these locations in the game.
Or, possibly, fleeing one to the other.
