The Last Of Us Part 2: 14 Tiny Details That'll Blow Your Mind

So. Much. Detail.

The Last Of Us 2
Naughty Dog

The Last of Us Part 2 is finally here, seven years after the original hit shelves, and it is a huge game. Whether you jive with the story or not, the sequel is undeniably a masterclass in terms of detail and design, with the world of Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic Seattle (and beyond) being absolutely packed with things to see and do.

From the environments to the character designs to the moment to moment gameplay, the attention to detail on display is only rivalled by the likes of Rockstar Games. A lot of these little touches are simply there to add to the immersion of the world and make every part of it feel as realistic as possible, but there are also a bunch of tiny story details hidden in there as well.

To be clear as possible, this list isn't about references or Easter eggs that are supposed to blow you away (those will be saved for another article), but those tiny little details, caught and shared by eagle eyed Redditors, other reviewers and myself, that people probably spent way too much time on.

Sadly, there are no shrinking horse balls in The Last of Us Part 2, but the game more than makes up for it in other areas...

Warning: there are some early game spoilers included.
