When you look at the bigger picture and look up some of the items that were available to you back in the original Sims (released in 2000, mind you), you'll notice that you had many that are no longer in The Sims 4. The pool is the obvious one, then there was the water tool (where you could make ponds) and there were even hot tubs!

It makes you wonder if EA even intended for The Sims 4 to be a better game than the previous versions, at least without DLC. Perhaps they purposely made it worse in order to force gamers into buying more expansions?

Who remembers the trash compactor? Dish washers? Changing tables? High chairs? It's as if that's all ancient history now.
