Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, released in 2015, became the successor to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Patriots, a disappointing potential addition to the franchise that was eventually cancelled due to a host of technical shortcomings.
Thankfully, Ubisoft Montreal's decision to reboot the franchise saw a fan favourite emerge. Siege has achieved positive ratings, scoring 8/10 from well renowned critics, IGN, as well as encompassing 45 million registered players as of February 2019.
