The Walking Dead: 9 Reasons The Game Is Better Than The Show

8. Controlling The World

The choices you make in The Walking Dead game determine the outcome of every situation you enter into. From a simpler point of view, you control the world. Have you ever gotten annoyed by a character in the television show? Well in the game you can control how much screen time they get. You might even get to decide if that character lives or dies. The player gets to decide which secrets are kept and which are revealed. If you€™ve ever disagreed with a direction the comic book or show took, then you might prefer the game too. Controlling a character in the game also comes with some responsibility. Many decisions have a built-in timer that you cannot pause or delay, so for example you€™ll have to act fast to stop Clementine from getting carried off by some cannibals, or not wait too long to gain Kenny€™s trust when his son in is danger. Your level of control and rushing your decisions pushes this game closer to a "What would you do?" real life experience, and putting the power into the hands of the player remains the defining characteristic that the game has over any other form of The Walking Dead.
