The Walking Dead: 9 Reasons The Game Is Better Than The Show

6. Less Budgetary Limitations

The special effects team on The Walking Dead show are really good at their job, and in more recent seasons the show has gotten enough money to do some big set pieces. The numbers in their zombie hordes get more and more impressive every year, but do you remember the €˜horde€™ that made the survivors abandon Hershel€™s farm in season two? A lot was left to the imagination of the viewer in that episode and they worked with what they had, but it was still limited. The scope and size of the video game is only limited by the writer€™s imagination and the programmer€™s investment of time. The Walking Dead game doesn€™t need to stay on the same set for a whole season. Putting the characters in a new location is much easier; they can hop a train to a new place or battle their way through a whole city full of walkers and there€™s no set construction or extras to worry about. Simply put; the makers of the game are not as confined as the creators of the television show, and they can make the story and set pieces as big or small as they want to.
