The Witcher 3: 10 Best Secret Areas You Need To Visit

5. The Killer Rabbit

In the small town of Benek located in the east of Velen, Geralt can stumble across an old man who claims he has the power to read his future. To do so, though, he'll be required to visit a hidden cave nearby to retrieve some Dragonsroot, which starts the quest The Truth Is In The Stars.

In your haste to complete the quest, though, you may have missed a great Easter Egg fans of classic British comedy will appreciate.

The entrance to the unmarked cave you're guided towards is surrounded by piles of bones and blood. Something vicious dwells here, but it’s not a leshen or pack of ghouls that did this. Sitting proudly amongst the gore is a solitary snow hare. This is a reference to the Killer Rabbit Of Caerbannog from Monty Python And The Holy Grail.

Though this inconspicuous bunny won’t attempt to rip Geralt limb from limb, it is invulnerable to his sword and signs. Just like in the 1975 film, the only way to vanquish this foe is with a bomb.

Thankfully, you won’t need to craft the Holy Hand Grenade Of Antioch; any regular witcher bomb will do the job here.
