The Witcher 3: 10 Biggest Secrets & Hidden Locations You Need To Find

5. Leo's Grave At Kaer Morhen

Because of the snowballing popularity of The Witcher series, far fewer people played the second game in the series than the third, and fewer people still played the first. As such, some of the references to previous games - such as Geralt's occasional guilt-filled recollections about a young witcher-in-training called Leo - may be lost on you. Leo was a minor character in The Witcher, and Geralt's protegee, who dies when Kaer Morhen gets besieged by fanatics at the very start of the game; an event which led to Kaer Morhen being the semi-abandoned husk it is in The Witcher 3. When you visit Kaer Morhen in The Witcher 3, there is a poignant reference to Leo that will bring a fond smile - perhaps a tear - to veteran players' faces. Namely, a grave dedicated to Leo which, like seemingly everything around Kaer Morhen, brings up unpleasant memories for poor Geralt; who's the kind of guy you imagine prefers to keep things bottled up until he can unleash all his repressed rage upon some poor group of bandits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAZr8lXzaWw
