11. Your Horse Can Jump

Speaking of your horse (Roach), it can be extremely frustrating getting used to how his animations can take priority over the direction you're pushing him in, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be traversing The Continent in no time... unless you encounter a waist-high object, that is. Strangely, even though the game does keep a contextual list of your actions in the bottom right, Roach's ability to leap isn't one of them. To pull it off, simply sprint by double tapping X/A as you normally would, then press circle/B whilst in motion and voila; a fence-clearing animation worthy of Red Dead Redemption. Sadly there's no way to make the poor steed tackle deep water, but this is a start.
