1. Play As Ciri In The Open-World - Find Out What Happened
This entry is going to contain spoilers for the ending of W3, but if you really don't want to know anything, you'd best turn away and go finish the main questline. Anyway, come the close of the game and all's said and done, you'll be left with one of three options - Ciri's either alive in two of them, or very much assumed dead in the third. Either way, we don't know what really happened when she went through the portal and managed to/was destroyed by the White Frost. As we also don't know when the epilogue scenes with her and Geralt take place, it frees up quite the amount of time to fill in her exploits in the other world(s). Personally speaking I've not read the books that contain Ciri's exploits, so I'm unaware of what she does - or what can be done - to stop the Frost itself, and whether the developer can extrapolate that into another separate side-quest or substantial pack. We have had details surrounding the two more pricier add-ons that are coming later this year and the next, but this one element of the story is the only thing that just kind of 'happens', forcing you to accept both the instant-salvation plot point and Ciri's power, without any explanation. Lastly, let's have an excuse to just play as Ciri either in the open-world or in something like a Battle Arena mentioned earlier, as her abilities are just way much fun not to deploy somewhere down the line.
