The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - 10 Glaring Flaws That Immediately Cripple It

5. 'Witcher Senses' Feel Claustrophobic

Another change for the worse is what used to be a tap of Geralt's amulet to highlight items of interest in the world around him - now called 'Witcher Senses'. You used to send out a 'pulse' which would ping back and highlight said items, but now you hold down a button that forces the camera literally right onto Geralt's shoulder. It's not too intrusive indoors as you're most likely confined to a smaller space and are breathing in the decor anyway, but outside when you're tracking down the footprints of all manner of creatures, having this bizarre, almost first-person-like camera switch is extremely unwieldy. Couple it with Geralt's penchant for darting off in the wrong direction and it doesn't leave the best impression.
