The Witcher 4: 5 Reasons It's Coming Sooner Than You Think
1. CD Projekt Red
CD Projekt RED are hot right now. They are one of the most respected developers in the industry, in a time when video games seem to be moving towards micro- transactions and shareholder profits, over consumer satisfaction. CDPR continue to treat their fans with respect and care.
The Witcher 3 arrived with a compendium, map, game guide, and even a thank you note. It had 16 free DLC’s in addition to the season pass. Blood and Wine is a phenomenal expansion, that many companies would have chosen to release separately, with a big price tag. CDPR are the image of how a video game developer should be run, a combination of uniqueness, ambition and loyalty.
CDPR should capitalise not only on their success but their popularity. They are a likable company and because of that they have a loyal fanbase. One that that will only continue to grow following Cyberpunk 2077. They are a popular and ambitious developer, that understand fan desire for the Witcher 4 will only grow with the TV show.
Whilst the Witcher 3 may be the end of Geralt’s journey, it is just the start of CDPR’s. Cyberpunk 2077, the Witcher TV series, and the appeal of the Witcher Universe, will be too great an opportunity for CDPR to ignore.
Therefore, the Witcher 4 will happen significantly sooner than you think, and for video gaming that is a very good thing.
