This Little Detail In Red Dead Redemption 2 Is Insane

Go home Red Dead, you're drunk!

Red Dead Redemption 2 is undoubtedly an all-encompassing phenomenal video game the likes of which have rarely been seen before. Just when you thought it would be impossible to get even close to topping 2010’s beloved Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar Games somehow managed to go one better with last year’s hotly anticipated sequel.

Not only is the main narrative of Red Dead 2 a stunning, engaging, emotional roller coaster of a ride, but the game offers just as much fun away from its central story.

Seriously, who’d have thought sharing a meal with pig farmers, freeing someone from a bear trap, helping direct an old drunk, or simply affording a quick “Howdy there, partner” to a passer-by would be so much fun.

In terms of sheer size and undiscovered delights, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game that is absolutely overflowing with terrain to explore and secrets to discover. But it’s not just in trawling across unknown areas of the game’s map where all of the fun lies, for there’s fun to be had around each and every corner.

For example, one miniscule detail that will completely blow your mind is what happens when you have a few too many brewskis.

Chances are, if you’ve played Red Dead Redemption 2 then you’ll have partaken in at least a brief visit to one of the game’s drinking establishments. And if so, you’ve probably had enough beers or shots to make Arthur Morgan’s legs go wobbly.

The thing is, while most of us will have stopped supping booze as soon as Arthur starts to become erratic to control – after all, what could be worse than being attacked by a bunch of no-good rogues when you’re sozzled and incapable of properly defending yourself? – the game goes all out and rewards a determined player who continues to pour more and more alcohol down Morgan’s neck.

Thanks to Reddit user SPECopPUG2244 for the heads-up, but the longer that Arthur’s boozing ways continue, the more erratic the game itself becomes. As in, the game’s menu itself even becomes tipsy!

Likewise, it’s hard to top having a drunken slapping contest with your equally hammered drinking buddies during these moments. And who could forget that mammoth drinking session with Lenny - or should that by Ynnel?
