Titanfall: 12 Tips To Help You Survive Getting Owned Online
3. Don't Dismiss Bots
One thing that seems to have annoyed people about Titanfall even before its release was the inclusion of Bots. Grunts and Spectors as they are known, are computer controlled AI who wonder around rather fruitlessly trying to add something to the battle. There are various ways of avoiding these Bots, namely via Perks or Burn cards, hacking them to your side (in the case of a Spector) or a nice swift kick to their seemingly useless faces. But the most important part of the Bots is how easily they are to kill: you may think they serve as nothing but cannon fodder and in most ways you are entirely correct. They pose little to no challenge when it comes to killing masses upon masses, but ensure you are using your weapons to destroy them as they are the one of the only ways to unlock certain mods. Copious amounts of killing does come in handy when facing real enemies too as your attention span is often kept alive through BOTS, rarely giving you a moment to register who you are actually fighting. The tell-tale signs may be there, but next time you play try to kill everything with a balanced efficiency; if done correctly, the difference between the two can easily be ignored in favour of a 'just kill everything quickly' policy that will only serve to improve your performance in the long run.
