TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan - 10 Things Fans Are Going To Love
7. It Has An Open World
If you can cast your mind back to early 2012, you may remember a rather odd but exciting rumour that was the doing the rounds online, claiming that Rocksteady - those amazing artists who redefined the comic book gaming genre with Arkham Asylum - were in fact making a TMNT game. That rumour (sadly) never panned out, leaving fans' dreams of a highly-stylistic, character-driven title based on the heroes in a half shell well and truly buried. Well, until now at least.
It may not look like the most inhabited locale on offer in a comic book title, but it damn sure looks pretty. New York looks like its leaped straight from the pages of Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird's original Mirage series - with the added bonus of colour - and it just looks fabulous.
Again, what it lacks in depth it more than makes up for in personality. It's the perfect imitation of the characters' stomping grounds and will no doubt bridge missions together suitably. Maybe it'll get even better in a potential sequel?
