Tomb Raider: Ranking Every Game From Worst To Best
3. Tomb Raider: Legend
The game that finally allowed Lara to catch up with the times, and cured everyone of Franchise Fatigue, everything about this title exudes a robust sense of fun.
Thanks in part to Lara’s revised personality, making her more care free, while still remaining determined, focused and intelligent. With flashy, over the top combat, the introduction of the grappling hook, bullet time, as well as a compelling backstory that allows players to engage with Lara and her motivations, it all deserves celebration.
Variety is not lost on this title either, with Lara visiting Incan ruins in Bolivia, the snowy mountains of Nepal, the rooftops of Tokyo, and thats just to name a few, as she goes about to find the pieces of Excalibur, and her mother, who disappeared before her very eyes after a plane crash in the Himalayas as a child.
Her past doesn’t stop haunting her there, though, as old friend, Amanda Everett, whom Lara presumed died on an expedition, is alive and well. Not to mention, she has a thirst for revenge and a chip on her shoulder after feeling abandoned by Lara.
In this case, the only way to let go of the past, is to dive right into it.
