Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2: 8 Tips And Tricks To Win Online

7. Jam Or Competitive Mode

Tony Hawks Pro Skater
Activision

When entering online multiplayer in Tony Hawk's there are two main options, Jam or Competitive. On the surface, both seem near identically, but if you are looking to win games there is only one choice.

Both modes have the exact same games within them and both are open to all players. The only actual difference in gameplay is at the end of a Jam match there is a set overtime period for players to land their tricks, of 30 seconds. In Competitive, the game will keep going until all players end their tricks.

If you are looking to win games or you are a beginner, make sure you select Jam when you first enter. While the very best players could also join this mode, the majority play in the competitive setting to test themselves against each other.

You still will get very good players competing in Jam but you are less likely to come across lobbies full of experts.
