Tony Hawk's Pro Skater: Every Game Ranked Worst To Best

The first Pro Skater introduced most of us the concept of skateboarding - let alone in a video game - bringing in a new generation of enthusiasts as it did so. The successor brought new technical innovations and dynamic presentation to the stage. However, this third and very best of the original tetralogy graced us with the most polished version of just what a Tony Hawk game could be. Hitting the pinnacle of quality very early in the franchise’s life. Although it occasionally came close to being dethroned, it still sits high and mighty on its pedestal to this day.

It already had the advantageous benefit of the graphical upgrade that came with the sleek new hardware, but that was just a superlative bonus. The game's soundtrack was once again beyond stellar, featuring Motorhead, Redman and The Offspring, and the now patented mission-based formula was more attuned to fit the more spacious areas, giving way to the roster of famous faces that was now extensively fleshed out.

It admittedly doesn’t add a lot in terms of innovation, but why should it? The second was near perfection and building upon those foundations could only get you closer to it!

Also, for a game that came out 21 years ago to age like this is almost unheard of. Many people are asking for a remake of THPS 3 and 4 on new hardware, and rightly so.
