4. Deadly Premonition
Access GamesThis is the one you show to your older siblings or buds that used to be into Resident Evil, as it ostensibly seems like an old-school horror game thats misplaced on the Xbox 360. Deadly Premonitions players, however, are able to look past the antiquated presentation to find the gems that are shocking to even them. For their non-gaming counterparts, the shock may hit them twice as hard. The game starts off simply enough with its Twin Peak vibes. Like Dale Cooper, Agent York is sent to investigate a small town thats seen its first brutal murder in what seems like forever. Of course, the introduction wouldnt be complete without Agent York giving his back story towait, with whom is he talking? Theres no time to dwell because the car just broke down and York must fight through demonic creatures that walk backward towards you, leaning backwards as if they were playing a game of Limbo in reverse. This is the relatively normal aspect of the game. The real weirdness begins once you enter the town and experience one of the many fascinatingly bizare cutscenes, which is the optimal time for your friends and family to walk in. These cutscenes are usually paired with inappropriate choices in music. Picture your friends and family walking in when Agent York describes a horrific rape/murder case with the most cheerful, jazzy background music. Depending on their sense of humor, they may not speak to you again for a while.
