Torchlight 2 Gives Fans A Glimpse at Pets

Runic Games has released information on your choice of humble companions in Torchlight 2. In Torchlight 2, pets act not only as a companion on your quests but a very capable and valuable asset as well. A variety of abilites and skills are available to pets fo use throughout the game. Pets hold their own unique inventories, the ability to learn spells, capable of selling unwanted inventory in town, and then return with items you've selected. One of the best abilities returning from the original is that pets can consume fish. Many different varieties of fish can transform your pet into a different creature either permanently, or temporarily. A total of 7 pets will make their way into the final game. At launch players can choose either the wolf, panther, hawk, bulldog, cat, chakawary, or ferret. Personally, I'm going with the wolf. I won't deny my secret hope that one particular fish will permanently change my wolf into some form of the "were" species. Here's to wishing that the fish is glowing white and called, "were fish", although "moon fish" will work too. Runic games also released a montage video of all 7 pets animated in-game.
