Ubisoft’s Cancelled Prince Of Persia Game Looked AMAZING
Come on, Ubisoft. You know what to do.
As rumours continue to swirl about an incoming remaster of Ubisoft's Prince of Persia PS2 games, footage from a cancelled 2012 project has re-emerged on the Internet.
The footage itself is from a canned follow up to 2010's The Forgotten Sands, and would have acted as something of a departure for the series. The footage, with isn't actual gameplay, but a target render of what the development team hoped to create should the title get the greenlight, looks more in line with the gritty violence of Warrior Within than the other releases in the franchise.
Still, it looks awesome in motion, with the Prince employing a neat time-bending mechanic in combat to create openings in enemy attacks. His new trim ain't bad either.
While there's no chance this exact version will ever resurface on consoles, a new entry in the series might. The Prince has been sitting on the sidelines for far too long, and this footage shows just how much potential Ubisoft is sitting on.
