Just don't expect them straight away.

As with a lot of modern games, the first question people have following "when is it coming out?" is "will it have microtransactions?" and the developers of the upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater remasters are wanting to clarify that, no, there won't be in-game purchases featured in the game.

At least, not straight away.

In a GameSpot interview, Jen Oneal of Vicarious Visions said: "Everything that you see at launch is going to be unlocked with gameplay. We're not planning on having monetization at launch."

If you're keeping count, that's twice in two sentences the boss clarifies they won't be there "at launch". That's because publisher Activision has made a habit of implementing microtransactions after the fact in their releases, including remasters such as Crash Team Racing and franchise staples like Call of Duty.

Consequently, don't be surprised if in-game purchases do make their way into the games a few weeks after they hit shelves.
