8. A Stranger At The Door

This must be the famous Carver we heard so much about in All That Remains: the mysterious missing member of the household Clem's just entered who left on apparently less than pleasant terms. He's got the unkempt appearance and weary demeanour of a man who's been out on his own for quite a while, and he seems rather bitter about that, despite his assertion that he's looking for his "people". He does a fine job of creeping us and Clementine out, his abrupt entrance into the house and salutation of "Hello there" bringing out uncomfortable suggestions of child endangerment and the perils of talking to strangers. Clearly Clem's going to have to be economical with the truth in order to keep Carver from finding out this is where his quarry's living, so it's going to take some quick decision-making from players to not get rumbled. But hang on a moment - why's Clementine answering the door on her own? Where's everyone else? It's doubtful that Carlos or Rebecca would be happy leaving Clementine to her own devices in their house, unless she does something to engender their trust in her. Either they're out hunting or simply hiding from Carver. And it seems like they might have good reason to...
