Warlords Of Draenor: 7 Reasons You Should Be Interested

4. Build Your Own Garrison

Garrison The shiniest new feature that will be introduced in Warlords Of Draener is the ability to build and develop your very own garrison. These will be entirely customisable fortresses that can be built almost anywhere in Draenor, and will actually be a part of the world, and not in a separate instance (this will be achieved by phasing, so there won't be hundreds of garrisons clustered about the map). You will be able to build a number of different buildings within your garrison, ranging from inns to mage towers, and each building will have its own productive function. The basic architectural design will differ based on whether you are Horde or Alliance, and each faction will have a host of unique designs available to them. Each individual building can be levelled up, and will improve bost aesthetically and functionally. You can further customise your garrison by displaying trophies which you earn by slaying rare beasts. What to do with that enormous dragon head you pillaged? Why, stick it on your front gate and show all your friends how much of a bad-ass you are. That's right, you can invite all your friends and comrades to come marvel at your handiwork. And if you put the time and effort in you could come up with something really impressive. You can basically make a whole town. Furthermore, you can populate your garrison with NPC followers. These can be acquired in a number of different ways. For example, they may just randomly stop for a drink at your inn, if it's appealing enough, where you can chat them up and have them join your family. These NPCs will level up, and some will have special attributes which you can utilize by sending them on errands. You can even team your followers up and send them to do a dungeon, which they will progress through even when you go offline, and you will reap the rewards of your minions' endeavours. There's a lot more to say on this feature, but I'll stop rambling. All in all, it sounds completely awesome.
