What Every Star Wars Fan Thinks About Every Star Wars Video Game
64. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (NES, Game Boy - 1993)
Lessons were apparently learned from the previous game. Hard. Lessons. On the side of the player, it was that life can be crushingly unfair at times for no reason, and on the side of the devs?
Well, they learned that the experience clearly wasn't hard enough! This is brutal, the levels are convoluted, packed with enemies and you die quicker than the collective audience did when Jar Jar handed emergency powers to Chancellor Palpatine.
It's like the team never even watched a Star Wars film as none of the locations or battles make sense, turning what should have been a glorious game into something we'd want to pitch into the Sarlaac pit.
