Willem Dafoe Working On Beyond: Two Souls?
Willem Dafoe to co-star with Ellen Page in Beyond: Two Souls?
A rumour about Willem Dafoe working on Beyond: Two Souls has sprung up. According to the website BroGamer, an anonymous source has indicated that Williem Dafoe will be joining the cast of Beyond: Two Souls. Not only is the site claiming Willem Dafoe will be in the game, but apparently he will be the co-star next to Ellen Page who is cast as the main character in Beyond: Two Souls. Willem Dafoe is most famous for his roles in Sipder-Man, Platoon, and Finding Nemo, but he has performed in video games in the past. The two games he has been in Spider-Man 2002 and James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing, although both those games probably only required voice work. With Beyond: Two Souls the process is a little more daunting, because of all the advanced motion capture technology that is going into the game. Now this is just a rumour for now and I would take it with a huge grain of salt because it comes from the ever reliable "anonymous source". However, it doesn't sound out of the question considering that they already have Ellen Page working as the main character on the game. And David Cage has been quoted saying:
"I was fortunate enough to have worked with David Bowie on my first game, When you've done that in your career, you say, 'I can get anyone.'"In addition, David Cage is somewhat obsessed with making his games move cinematic, which don't get me wrong isn't always a bad thing. I love his focus on story driven games, but sometimes he comes off as wishing he wasn't even making games but films instead. All that aside I Beyond: Two Souls is one of my most anticipated games of next year and personally I think Willem Dafoe would fit right in.
